Shein

Shein is an online clothing brand/store which caters to customers internationally.

Shein is available across all major Social Media platforms, with buttons to these pages on their website.

Shein posts daily  on most platforms, weekly on others. Their last Facebook (449,778 followers) post was made around noon today, they last posted on Instagram (17.5 m followers) at the same time, Twitter (238.6k followers) and Snapchat were updated even more recently at around 5pm. Shein's last YouTube (94.7k subscribers) post was 1 week ago, Pinterest (2,488,624 followers) 17 hours ago, and on Tiktok (10m likes) 1 hour ago.

Shein is very active on all social media platforms and uses their pages to showcase their brand in photos, videos, and more. They use it to communicate well with their base and get their message across well. Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and Twitter seemed to be used most frequently. 


Pretty Little Thing 

Pretty Little Thing is an online clothing brand/store which caters to customers internationally.

Pretty Little Thing is available across all major Social Media platforms, with buttons to these pages on their website.

Pretty Little Thing last posted on Facebook (2,495,201 followers) 19 hours ago, Instagram (13m followers) 5 hours ago, Twitter (458.7k followers) 11 hours ago, YouTube (65.7k Subscribers) 1 week ago, and on Tiktok (1.3m followers) 16 hours ago. 

Pretty little Thing does an okay job with communicating with their fan  base. Their ratings are low on Facebook and their content doesn't seem to be as attention grabbing as Shein's. 


Fashion Nova

Fashion Nova last posted on Facebook (2.7m followers) 40 minutes ago, Instagram (19.7m followers) 46 minutes ago, Snapchat 5 hours ago, Pinterest (556,561 followers) 2 weeks ago, Tiktok (2.1m followers) 5 hours ago, and YouTube ( 26.1k subscribers) 4 days ago.

Fashion Nova does a better job than Shein and Pretty Little Thing when it comes to Social Media. Fashion Nova seems to have better quality content, more frequent posting, and better marketing strategy overall. Communication with their audience is strong. 


Missguided

Missguided is available across some major Social Media platforms, with buttons to these pages on their website.

Missguided last posted on Facebook (1,6233,197 likes) 9 hours ago, Twitter (9,302 followers) on September 27, 2020, Instagram (7m followers) 6 hours ago. 

Missguided does not have all of the most popular current platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, most likely impacting their level of brand popularity, followers, and engagement.


Dolls Kill

Dolls Kill last posted on Facebook (850,200 followers) Thursday at  7:59 am, Instagram (3.4m followers) 10 minutes ago, YouTube (19.7k subscribers) 1 day ago, Twitter (57.2k followers) 14 hours ago, and Pinterest (163,417 followers) last post unknown. 

Dolls Kill separate themselves from the other examples provided by offering a "misfit" style of clothing. Although their brand is different, they are not as active as some of their competition. Their content quality to seems to be good but could be lacking when it comes to audience conversations.   

     

    It it very important for a business to properly maintain their Social Media platforms. It is vital to have an account for most if not all major platforms, and to ensure that content on these pages is always new and current. Along with regular posting, content must be up to par as well. Photos must properly showcase whatever it is that the company is selling. 

    Along with representing the brand properly it is important to keep a conversation flowing with the audience base. Each of the sites reviewed focused mainly on fashion, empowerment, and connection. Content must be relevant to the brands message, always good quality, and well planned.

    It shows when a business lacks in a certain area of their Social Media. In relation these brands tend to have less followers, less page engagement, and their quality (or lack of) tends to show through as well. If a business can't successfully stay connected with it's community via Social Media then it it will fall second or third to the competition who does go out of their way to be very active in many different areas.

    I couldn't agree more with your statement, that if a business can't successfully stay connected with it's community via social media then it will fall second or third to the competition. I also learned from my research that their is a lot of competition and if you aren't doing anything to help your business stand out then you are going to blend in with the rest of them.

Week1A: My Template

     I was very excited to choose and adjust my theme for my blog.      Armstrong Nursery is a large scale nursery chain business with dozens of locations. They are targeting a large number of potential customers. They highlight the fact that they have over 130 years of business in California right away in red at the top left hand side of their page. There menu is easily visible across the op of the page along with an animated carousel featuring different aspects of their business. Scrolling down will provide the viewer with more information, and even tips and tricks for starting a garden of their own. Colors chosen are very light and calming, photos feature friendly employees and happy children planting flowers. The target market for this business is most likely home owners who have families, live in rural or suburb type areas. Higher ranking in earnings might also be a potential target, as well as women in their mid 30s and upward.      Rancho Vista Nursery is much smaller in comparison to Armstrong.
